Plans differ on print, archive depth and gifts. The stories themselves are the same eight pieces each month. Read this group if you want to know what you keep after you join, and what stops when you leave.
Yes. Open your account and cancel, or write to hello@UnbelievableChronicles.com. There is no notice period and no call centre script. You keep the reader, audio and Vault until the last day you have already paid. Printed issues already packed still go out; later print runs stop with the plan.
Paid plans keep the Vault for as long as the membership runs. Reader includes ninety days of back issues. Full Chronicle and Collector open every Fiction and From the record piece we have shipped since 2026. When a plan ends, Vault access ends with it. Download files you already stored stay on the device until you remove them.
Reader is S$12 a month. You get eight original stories in the web reader, the audio editions, the Friday email, and a ninety-day archive. Print is not included. If you later move to Full Chronicle, Singapore postage for the monthly issue is folded into that plan. Compare the full grid on the memberships page.
Yes. Open the sample chapter. It is a full scene from the current season, set in the same type as the reader. You will see the strand tag and a fair sense of length. We cut finished pieces to eighteen to thirty-three minutes of reading time. Membership is not required to finish that sample.
Charges are in Singapore dollars. You can run month to month or, on Full Chronicle, pay for a year in one go. Cancellation is yours to trigger from the account or by email. This block is the same policy we print on the memberships page.
Reader is S$12 each month. Collector is S$29 each month. Full Chronicle is S$19 a month or S$190 a year. The charge lands on the same calendar day you joined. A yearly Full Chronicle payment covers twelve months of reader, audio, print inside Singapore, and the full archive. We do not add GST lines on this site.
The moment you cancel, the next renewal stops. Access continues to the last paid day. If a printed issue has already been packed, it still ships. Digital stories already released stay readable until that paid day ends. You do not need to give a reason, and you do not need to wait thirty days to press the button.
We refund the print portion for issues that have not left our mail room. Once a copy is with the carrier, we cannot recall it or refund that copy. Reader and audio follow the paid period. If a Singapore parcel arrives damaged, write within seven days with photographs and we will post a replacement from Kampong Glam.
Yes. Write to us or change the plan in your account. An upgrade starts the new benefits on the next working day, with a pro-rated charge. A downgrade takes effect at the next renewal so you keep print or Collector extras you already paid for. Gift passes already issued stay valid through their printed dates.
The monthly issue is stitched and posted in a sleeve. Singapore addresses are included on Full Chronicle and Collector. Overseas copies travel for a fixed extra. The reader never waits for the post; Tuesday chapters unlock for every member at the same hour.
Yes. Print postage inside Singapore is included on Full Chronicle and Collector. Addresses outside Singapore add S$6 a month. We post from Kampong Glam. Delivery windows vary by country, and we do not promise a fixed overseas date. You can hold a digital-only plan if you do not want parcels at all.
We post on the first of the month to Singapore addresses. Most local copies arrive within three to five working days. Overseas copies depend on the destination service. If you move house, update the address before the twenty-fifth so the next issue follows you. Returned parcels are held for fourteen days.
Collector members receive a bound volume four times a year. It gathers the season’s eight monthly stories plus two extra essays. The binding is meant to sit on a shelf, not in a recycling stack. If you cancel mid-quarter, the bound edition ships only if that volume has already gone to press.
Each Chronicle is written to be read in one sitting. Audio is a second door into the same text. Labels tell you whether you are holding imagination or work drawn from public archives. Nothing on this site pretends to be a testimonial or a prize list.
Reader
The web reader stores your position in each story. On Full Chronicle and Collector it also keeps files for nights without a signal. Type is set for long stretches, not for a feed. You can move from phone to laptop and pick up the same paragraph.
Audio
Every story has a professional narration. Speeds run from 0.8× to 2×. Offline downloads sit on Full Chronicle and Collector. Audio carries the same Fiction or From the record tag as the text, so you always know which strand you are hearing on a commute.
Labels
Every piece is an original text. Fiction is imagined. From the record is built from public archives we have checked. We never present invented scenes as archival fact. The tag sits on the card, in the reader, and on the printed opening page.
Press play in the reader or download on paid plans that include offline files. Narration is recorded for the finished cut, not for a draft. If a name is drawn from an archive, the From the record tag is spoken in the opening slate. A short spoken passage sits with the sample chapter so you can judge the voice before you pay.
Yes on Full Chronicle and Collector. Open a story once while you have a connection and the reader keeps it. Progress is stored on the device. Reader plan members need a connection if they want issues older than ninety days. Downloads are for your membership only and should not be posted on as a public file.
They are the only two strand tags we use. Fiction is a work of imagination. From the record is reported from public documents, maps and clippings, then written as a long piece. Both are original. We commission, check and cut them in Singapore. Length stays inside eighteen to thirty-three minutes so you can finish a story in an evening.
A membership can be bought for someone else. Schools and working groups can share a block of seats. We keep the paperwork light: a start date, a plan name, and an email for each reader. Write to us rather than guessing at a form.
Yes. Send the recipient’s name, email and the plan you want. We reply with a start date and a plain note the recipient can open. Collector includes two gift passes each year, which you can assign without another invoice. Gift terms follow the same cancellation rules as a plan you buy for yourself.
Yes, from five seats. A group plan shares the current season, audio, and the archive depth of Full Chronicle. Print can be sent to one address or skipped. Invoices go to the organiser. We do not run a public directory of schools or companies, and we will not list your group on this site.
Yes. Use the contact form and mark the note as a submission. We commission original long pieces and we reply when a strand fits the next season. Do not send scanned archives without a rights note. Payment and deadlines are agreed in writing before any public credit appears in the Vault.
Unbelievablechronicles works from Kampong Glam. Desk hours are limited; email is the fastest path. The map and the form live on the contact page. Legal pages cover privacy, terms and cookies in the same voice as the rest of the site.

Email replies go out within one working day. If you write on Saturday afternoon, expect Monday. We do not use chat widgets. For billing, include the email on the membership so we can find the account without extra steps.
