Legal notice from Singapore
These terms set out how Unbelievablechronicles sells access to original long stories from 56 Kandahar Street, Kampong Glam. They cover the reader, audio editions and the printed monthly issue. They apply to every paid plan from 2026. Read them before you join, gift a seat or renew. Last updated 10 February 2026.

Unbelievablechronicles is the publisher named on every invoice, login and printed colophon. You are the person who buys, receives or uses a membership. If you buy for a classroom, a newsroom or a household, you remain responsible for the seats you pay for and for the people who use them.

Desk hours are Monday–Friday 09:30–18:00 (SGT) and Saturday 10:00–14:00. Email replies go out within one working day. These terms sit with that address, not with any reseller or app store wrapper.
You
You must be old enough to form a contract under the law of Singapore, or you must buy through a parent, guardian or school that accepts these terms for you. A login is personal unless your plan expressly allows shared seats. You keep your password private. You tell us if someone uses your account without leave. Gift passes still sit under these terms once redeemed.
Scope
These terms cover paid access to eight original stories a month, the web and app reader, audio editions, Friday programme notes, archive windows, printed issues posted from Singapore, bound collector editions, and gift passes. They sit beside the privacy notice and the cookie notice. They do not sell advertising inventory or licence our mark for your merchandise.
Prices on plans.php are in Singapore dollars. You pay monthly or, where offered, yearly. We charge the card or other method you save at checkout. A paid period starts when payment clears. You receive access for that period even if you later cancel, until the period ends.
Reader is S$12 a month and includes eight stories in the reader, audio editions, the Friday email and a ninety-day archive. Full Chronicle is S$19 a month or S$190 a year and adds the printed monthly issue posted to Singapore addresses, the full archive and offline downloads. Collector is S$29 a month and adds a quarterly bound edition, early Sunday chapters and two gift passes a year. Compare the grid on the memberships page before you pick.
Yearly Full Chronicle is billed once for twelve months. Monthly plans renew on the same calendar day each month unless that day does not exist, in which case we bill on the last day of the month. Failed payments are retried. If a retry fails, we may pause access until you update the method. We do not add GST numbers, UEN strings or other registry marks to invoices or to this page.
If we change a price, we tell you before the next charge. The new price applies only after that notice. You may cancel before it takes effect and keep what you already paid for. Classroom and team seats from five places are quoted by email through contact.php. Those quotes still sit under these terms unless a signed rider says otherwise.
Every story we ship is an original text. Pieces built from public archives carry the tag From the record. Everything else carries the tag Fiction. You receive a personal, non-exclusive licence to read, listen and keep those works for private use while your plan allows access. You do not buy the copyright.
You may read on your own devices, download offline files where your plan includes them, and play audio at speeds from 0.8× to 2×. You may print a chapter for your own notes. You may not republish a story, feed it to a model, scrape the Vault, strip credits, or present Fiction as a public record. From the record pieces remain our arrangement of archive material; the underlying public documents stay public.
Writer submissions sent through contact.php are offers only. We do not owe a reply, a fee or a credit unless we commission the work in writing. Commissioned work is edited, checked and cut to a reading time of eighteen to thirty-three minutes before it ships. We mark the strand before publication. That mark is part of the work you licence.
The printed monthly issue is stitched and posted in an envelope. Singapore addresses on Full Chronicle and Collector are included in the plan price. Addresses outside Singapore take an extra S$6 a month. We post after the first of the month. Transit times vary by the carrier we use that cycle.
Singapore post
If your delivery address is in Singapore, postage for the monthly issue sits inside Full Chronicle and Collector. You must keep the address in your account current. A failed delivery that follows an old address is not a reprint right. Collector quarterly bound editions follow the same address rules. We do not leave issues at the Kandahar Street desk for collection unless we agree in writing first.
Abroad
Print sent outside Singapore costs an extra S$6 each month on top of the plan. Customs, duties and local taxes at the far end are yours. If a border agency returns a copy, we may hold the next issue until you give a workable address. Reader and audio access do not wait on the post. You can still open the Vault while a parcel is in transit.
Faults
Tell us within fourteen days of the expected delivery window if a copy never arrives or arrives torn, wet or unbound. We will post a replacement or credit the print portion of that month. We do not replace copies lost after a signed receipt. Digital files remain available in the reader for the archive window of your plan, so you are never left without the text.
You may cancel from your account or by writing to hello@UnbelievableChronicles.com. There is no extra notice period. Access to the reader, audio and archive continues until the end of the period you already paid. We stop the next charge. Printed issues already in the post still travel. Issues we have not yet posted can be refunded on the print portion.
Paid plans include archive access while they run. Reader holds ninety days of back issues. Full Chronicle and Collector hold the full Vault for the paid window. When the window closes, logins stop. Offline files you already downloaded should be deleted when the licence ends. We do not sell a perpetual library. Sample chapters on sample.php stay free to read.
A gift membership starts when the recipient redeems the pass, not when you pay. Two Collector gift passes a year follow the same rule. We do not pause a plan for holidays. You may ask us to move a remaining period to another adult; we may refuse if the request looks like a resale. Team seats cannot be split below the five-place floor without a new quote.
We may suspend or end a membership if you share a personal login in bulk, scrape the Vault, strip Fiction or From the record marks, abuse staff, or fail to pay. We will email the account on file. Serious misuse can end the licence at once. Money already paid for unused digital days in that period is not returned if the cause is breach. Print still in our warehouse may be withheld.
We take care with commissioning, archive checks and the cut to eighteen to thirty-three minutes. We still publish work that can be wrong, incomplete or later revised. Fiction is imagined. From the record is built from public papers and can miss a file we never saw. You read at your own judgement.
To the extent Singapore law allows, Unbelievablechronicles is not liable for lost profits, lost data, device faults, delayed post outside our control, or decisions you take after reading a story. Our aggregate liability for a claim about a membership is capped at the sum you paid us for that membership in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud where the law forbids that limit.
These terms are governed by the law of Singapore. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may still seek an injunction where your use of a story or our mark needs urgent restraint. If a clause cannot be enforced, the rest stays in force. We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page will change. Material changes are emailed to the address on the account before they apply to a renewal.
